Check Out This Versatile Layout For Scraps!

Welcome to layout three in our FREE tutorial series using the Echo Park Bookish collection. This layout is one I love to use for all those scraps left over after using a collection but it's also perfect for those small paper pads!

Whilst this blog post touches on some of the highlights of the tutorial, we encourage you to watch the step by step Youtube video at the bottom of this blog post with all the details.

In the tutorial we took several papers from the 6x6 Mega Pad and trimmed them down to 3/4" x 6" strips with a fish tail at each end. We then arranged these in a curvy pattern on the page with varying patterned papers next to each other. To add some finer details we used a black pen to add some faux stitching but real stitching would work too!

For the title we used a sticker from the cardstock sticker sheet and added some interest with some subtitles made up of tiny word strips! This is a favourite technique of mine to extend the title and fill some gaps whilst still keeping the readers interest.

We added two other embellishment clusters using some large pieces from the ephemera packets and cardstock sticker sheet. I want to point out that this layout is perfect for extending into a two page layout if needed, you just continue the patterned paper curve onto the next page!

Make sure to check out the video below for the full tutorial, tips and techniques.
