Transform One Paper Into A Pattern!

When I saw this paper made of collaged ticket entries from the Simple Stories - Fun Times collection I fell in love! The colours and typography really dragged me in but I felt the collaged pieces were a little too big to use on their own.

So I did what anyone who loves paper crafting would do.... I cut them up! One inch squares to be exact, lots and lots of them and then pieced them all together in a 3 inch wide strip across the page.

This paper piecing added enough interest to the bottom of the page that I was able to embellish just the top of the page, above my photos. I decided to focus on a little collaged scene of carnival rides, balloons and tickets.

These were a combination of the sticker sheet, icon ephemera packet and journaling ephemera with some raised up on foam for dimension. I started with the largest elements, tucking and overlapping and worked my way down to the smaller ones.

For a bit of bling I added some of the glittery enamel dots from the collection in groups of three, so it was pleasing to the eye. This just added that chef's kiss of smaller details and drew your attention to the embellishment clusters and title.
